The 2023 Jiangsu Film and Television Technology Development Forum was held Thursday afternoon at the Nanjing Morning Light 1865 Industrial Park. JSBC has the story.

Experts and scholars from the fields of film and television, technology, and finance were invited to conduct in-depth discussions on film and television technology innovation at the forum that is sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial Association for Science and Technology, hosted by the Jiangsu Public Relations Association, the Jiangsu Cultural Industry Association, and the Jiangsu Film Association.

“Jiangsu is a province well-known for its rich culture, the output of cultural content is among the best in the country. But some equipment in the sector, including the application of new technology, are expected to further develop. This time we invited some top technology companies from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Making the efforts to help us develop the film and television technology industry in Jiangsu to a new height”, Wang Jun, Top Ten Representatives of Jiangsu Provincial Association for Science and Technology, Managing Director of Nanjing Meijing City Operation Technology Co., Ltd., said.

“Three associations jointly build this platform to help the companies that focus on the editing of films, television and short videos. Through the activities or salons, we hope that more small businesses could join us to tell more excellent stories of China”, Zhang Yuying, Secretary General of Jiangsu Cultural Industry Association, said.

Jiangsu has always been a powerhouse in the cultural industry. However, the rapid development of digital technology and new technology applications has brought about unprecedented opportunities and challenges to the film and television industry. The experts shared their opinions from different perspectives on site.

“From the aspect of industry chain, not only does it mean that all of our consumers now need to see what the film and television works presented. We also need to focus on the entire film and television industry in Jiangsu and the creative resources we have, we also need to pay attention to the latest trends”, Dong Yu, Director of Jiangsu Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Investment Co., Ltd., said.

“We have cultivated a group of excellent enterprises in the area of film and television. At present, digital industry sectors are what people expect and need. We have also cultivated a group of cutting-edge enterprises in this area to the cater to the need”, Zhao Liping, Deputy General Manager of Nanjing Morning Light 1865 Industrial Park Real Estate Investment Management Co., Ltd., said.

Coinciding with the National Science Popularization Week, this forum will integrate "digital intelligence+culture" in a bid to promote the landing of projects such as digital intelligence innovation and film and television equipment technology research and development platform so as to promote the development of the province’s film and television technology to a new height.
